Bills of materials, routings, work centres, production orders, quality and costing. Releasing an order checks availability; issuing consumes by FEFO and records lot genealogy; completing books the finished goods and sends the variance where variances go. Production versions choose the bill, routing and make, buy or subcontract from a sales order line’s attributes, and a subcontracted item is made by a vendor from components provided to it. A configured product is planned and made from its own configuration, its bill shown as a tree of levels.
