Scoring and awarding an enquiry, and capitalising what arrives
Supply Chain → Strategic Sourcing: responses scored and ranked as they are recorded, marks for what a person judges, an award in rank order; then Accounting → Assets → Assets to Capitalise for the equipment the award bought.
Choosing a supplier used to mean a spreadsheet beside the platform, and a new machine used to sit in stock until somebody remembered to put it on the register. Both now happen where the work is: the ranking is worked out as each offer comes in, and the receipt drafts the assets.
