A product’s recipe: fixed and variable materials and processes
On the model itself: what every configuration takes, what only one option brings, in the unit it is used in — and processes or whole routings the same way.
A 6″ cake takes 250 g of flour, a 12″ one 500 g. Every cake is sieved, mixed and inspected; only an iced cake takes eggs, sugar and an Icing step. That is a recipe, and it belongs on the model.
